Staff training to the principles of lean healthcare

Training workshop

This one-day training session is based on operations management and industrial engineering  principles that are adapted to the healthcare sector. Participants are familiarized with the concepts of the Toyota system (lean manufacturing), and with the patient-oriented approach.

To maximize understanding of the changes to come and to minimize resistance to change, the session is given to all the staff working in the departments in which a process optimization project is to be carried out.

The training session is made up of a theory component and a practical component.
100%-adapted to the hospital sector

The theory component
introduces participants to the basic principles of the patient-oriented approach, which is based on the Kaizen philosophy, lean manufacturing and lean management tools, 6 sigma, tight flow, SMED, OEE, 5S, kanban and inventory management.
  The practical component
is made up of two 30-minute hands-on workshops. Participants can compare and appreciate the fundamental differences between the traditional healthcare system and the lean healthcare system in which the patient-oriented approach is implemented. Supported by performance indicators that measure the performance of each system, the workshop does not leave any room for perplexity.
